As this new projects monitoring service gained popularity, it came to be known as an 'industrial marketing tool' by sales and marketing professionals in the Indian industry. Over the years, Domex, by virtue of its experience in researching markets, technological developments and new projects monitoring diversified into knowledge processing outsourcing / KPO services. Between 1994 and 2010 (16 years), Domex Technical Information (DTI) and its offshoot, Domex e-Data (450 employee base) provided high quality research, editorial, abstracting, indexing and data conversion services in the science, technical & medicine (STM) and business research segment besides offering a host of BPO and prepress services to globally renowned database, information and publishing companies in Europe and North America. Domex e-Data and its core business of STM abstracting & indexing was acquired by another knowledge management group in late 2010.
DTI and its subsidiary DBI was promoted in 1995 by a group of information, marketing and IT professionals. The company is headed by Mr P V Satyanarayana, a well-known KPO / BPO specialist with nearly four decades experience in KPO / BPO activities, international marketing, market research and economic and business information. DTI has its production centers at Chennai, Coimbatore and Mumbai besides representatives and correspondents at Pune and Delhi.
